Why should I attend technical college?

What can I study?

Gwinnett Tech offers more than 140 program options in areas like marketing, business management, computer information systems, early childhood education, drafting, health sciences, nursing, cosmetology, criminal justice, automotive technology, visual arts, fashion and design, and more. Will I earn a degree?

Gwinnett Tech offers the two-year associate of applied science degree. Or, students may pursue a diploma or certificate options that can be completed in just a few semesters. Learn more about the types of programs we offer.

Can I afford it?

Technical college is one of the most affordable higher education options. Gwinnett Tech’s average tuition (depending on how many classes you take) is $1,130 a semester. We offer many financial aid opportunities, including the Hope Grant, which is awarded regardless of financial need. Call our Financial Aid office at 777.962.7580 and we’ll help you make it work.

Will I be able to get a job when I finish?

Gwinnett Tech’s programs of study are career-focused. We’re considered the area’s workforce development specialist and work with hundreds of business partners to provide them the highly trained, technically skilled employees they need. Our job placement rate for graduates is 96% and our Career Services Center is dedicated to helping you get a job.

No problem. Our Assessment Center offers personality and career testing that can help you decide what type of job suits you. Our career advisors are available to help you plan your education and career path.

Do you offer flexible class times?

Gwinnett Tech offers extensive classes at night and even on the weekends, all designed for students with busy work schedules and demands on their time. We also offer hundreds of online courses!

Will technical college courses transfer?

Gwinnett Tech has transfer agreements with the University System of Georgia. Core courses, like freshman level English and math credits, are guaranteed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities throughout the state.

What’s the campus like?

Gwinnett Tech has all the features and resources you’d expect on a college campus, including a library and media center, extensive computer labs, dining and food service, and a student recreation center. We also have a host of student organizations and leadership and community service opportunities, both tailored to your field of study and designed to just provide – fun!
