Networking professionals can further career with certificate program
Gwinnett Technical College is hosting an open house for individuals interested in furthering their networking skills with the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) specialist certificate program. The open house is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at 6:30 p.m., in Building 700, Room 2.308 on Gwinnett Tech’s campus in Lawrenceville.
The CCNA program provides students with the principles, practices and skills they need to design, build and maintain small- to medium-sized local-area networks and wide-area networks capable of supporting national and global organizations. In addition, this technical certificate prepares students for the CCNA certification exam(s).
Students applying for this certificate must provide proof of either a minimum of two years experience in the networking field, a computer field certification (A+, Net+, etc.), a postsecondary diploma or degree in CIS, or prior completion of CIS 122 and CIS 1140.
The program’s core courses include introduction to LAN and WAN, advanced routers and switches and WAN technologies.
The deadline to apply for the CCNA program for winter quarter is Tuesday, November 15.
Class options include either: mornings - Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 9:50 a.m.; or evenings - Tuesday & Thursday, 6:00 p.m. – 9:50 p.m.
