GEC Business Services and Gwinnett Technical College Launch Internship Program
Global Enterprise Consulting (GEC) Business Services and Gwinnett Technical College announced today they are joining forces in launching a year-round accounting internship program.
Gwinnett Tech’s accounting program provides students with a sound foundation in traditional accounting principles, coupled with knowledge in cutting-edge technology. GEC Business Services provides full service accounting, tax and consulting services to small and medium sized businesses in such areas as retail, automotive, trucking, manufacturing, construction, restaurant, distribution and technology throughout the metro Atlanta area.
GEC and Gwinnett Tech have agreed to place an intern with the company during each academic session, providing the students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping and regulatory filings with state and Federal agencies. “This combination of academic theory and hands-on experience is just what today’s accounting executives look for when hiring and promoting employees,” says Lanny Nelms, accounting program director with Gwinnett Tech. “GEC has made a significant commitment to offer opportunities for our students to enhance their learning experience.”
