Top Employers to Recruit, Hire Qualified Candidates at Gwinnett Tech Career Fair

Job seekers have chance to see and be seen by hiring companies – April 20

The area’s top employers will come together to recruit and hire qualified candidates on April 20 th at the Gwinnett Technical College Career Fair on the college’s campus.

Ranging from well-known national corporations to leading local businesses, some of the hiring companies that have already registered to participate in the 2006 Career Fair include:

  • Lake Lanier Islands

Individuals looking for a new job, re-entering the job market, or embarking on a career for the first time won’t want to miss this opportunity to network with these top-notch employers. Scheduled for Thursday, April 20, from 11:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., the Career Fair will be held in The Busbee Center, Building 700, on Gwinnett Tech’s campus.

In preparation for the job fair, Gwinnett Tech is also sponsoring a series of free career workshops to assist job candidates in brushing up on their resume writing, job searching and interviewing skills. A schedule will be posted on the 2006 Career Fair website – check it periodically for updated listings of the workshops at www.CareerJolt.com.

Businesses wishing to participate in the Career Fair may still register by completing the registration form online at www.CareerJolt.com or by contacting career fair coordinator Pam Smith, 678-226-6493.

To get to The Busbee Center on Gwinnett Tech’s campus at 5150 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville:

From I-85 north, take Georgia Hwy. 316 (exit 106) and take the second exit, Sugarloaf Parkway. Turn left, cross the bridge and Gwinnett Tech is on the left. From I-85 south, take the Sugarloaf Parkway (exit 108) and turn left onto Sugarloaf Parkway; Gwinnett Tech is approximately two miles on the right.
