Gwinnett Tech Boasts Two State DEX Winners and Advisor of the Year

Two students and a program director from Gwinnett Technical College have been recognized as this year’s Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) competition winners for the state of Georgia.

Delta Epsilon Chi (ΔEX) is an international organization for college students preparing for a variety of careers which fosters development through several avenues including annual skills competitions.

Jessica Deresch, who earned first place in retail management and Robert Clinton, who was awarded second place in financial services, are both marketing management majors at Gwinnett Tech.

Laverne Tilley, business sciences division director, was named Georgia DEX Advisor of the Year.

Deresch and Clinton will go on to compete in the DEX International Conference in Orlando against 900 students in more than 18 categories pertaining to business.

DEX offers students an opportunity to learn leadership skills, network with peers and business leaders, experience competition getting them ready for the world of competition and professional development.
