Gwinnett Tech to Host Technology Day 2008 for Educators & Trainers
School may be out for summer in Gwinnett County, but educators and corporate trainers will have the chance to head back to the classroom themselves for Gwinnett Technical College's Technology Day 2008, a two-day seminar on instructional technology.
The seminar will be held on Monday, June 9, 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm, and Tuesday, June 10, 7:30 am – 3:00 pm, at the Busbee Center on the Gwinnett Tech campus. Sessions are open to all interested; cost for the seminar is $35. View the agenda and register at www.gwinnetttech.edu/techday.
Designed by educators for educators, Technology Day will help participants expand their technology skills and explore new methods to enhance student learning.
The seminar features sessions on specific instructional software and classroom technology tools, from Soft Chalk and Smart Thinking to ANGEL and Office 2007, as well as discussions of general instructional issues.
Keynote speaker Steve Riley, CEO, president and founder of echoEleven will speak on Convergence and Learning, providing his insight and knowledge about effective e-learning techniques and solutions.
