Gwinnett Tech Earns Four National Marketing Awards

GTC Honored for Innovation in Video, Social Media, Print and Digital Communications

Gwinnett Technical College has won four national awards for innovation in marketing and communications. GTC was honored by the Higher Education Marketing Report in the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country.

Gwinnett Tech was recognized for excellence in video production, social media and digital communications, print communications and recruitment tools. Earning awards were GTC’s:

  • Tech Heads video program

  • Social media and electronic newsletter platform

  • @workGwinnett quarterly publication

  • What Am I Going to Do with My Life? student viewbook

This year, the Education Advertising Awards received over 2,000 entries from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.

Now the state’s second largest technical college, Gwinnett Tech has recorded double-digit enrollment growth for three consecutive years. Enrollment for Winter Quarter 2010 was up 28 percent with a total of 6,563 students registered. Notably, Gwinnett Tech saw a 28 percent increase in new students and a 64 percent increase in fulltime new students.

Gwinnett Tech’s marketing partner is Tillman Allen Greer, a full-service marketing and media firm based in Lawrenceville. Together, GTC and TAG have earned more than 20 national awards in recent years, with all of the college’s primary recruitment and communications tools – ranging from Web sites to advertising – being honored.

Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report. Higher Education Marketing Report has been for twenty-five years the nation’s leading marketing publication for higher education professionals.

Gwinnett Tech offers more than 45 degree, diploma and certificate program options that you can finish in two years or less. For more information on all programs, visit www.GwinnettTech.edu or call 770-962-7580.
