The Georgia Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc.'s purpose is to advance the science of radiologic technology by establishing and maintaining high standards of education and improving the quality of patient care and socioeconomic welfare of radiologic technologists.
Macchia was recognized by the society at their annual meeting in early April. She will start now working directly with the society's president, Joyce Sharpe, for the 2011-2012 year.
