Holtkamp Heating & Air Awards Scholarships to Gwinnett Tech Students
Scholarship funds tuition, books and program supplies
Two Gwinnett Technical College students have been awarded the Holtkamp HVAC Scholarship, the first recipients of the scholarship fund recently established by Holtkamp Heating & Air, a leading locally owned and operated HVAC company.
Gwinnett Tech air conditioning technology students Earle Lewis and Justin Vanover were given the Holtkamp HVAC scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year. Each student received a full scholarship covering tuition, books and program supplies.
As a way to support local education and identify potential future employees, Holtkamp Heating & Air owners Matthew and Suzanne Holtkamp established the scholarship for exceptional students who have been accepted into GTC's Air Conditioning Technology program.
"We have always been big fans and supporters of Gwinnett Tech. We appreciate the quality training that comes from this exceptional school, especially their Air Conditioning Technology program," says Matthew Holtkamp, the company's president. "Students are given not only academic training, but a hands-on experience to prepare them well for the 'real world' of heating and air."
"When we interview a prospective employee who has graduated from Gwinnett Tech, they consistently outperform their counterparts. And often, land the job!" Holtkamp adds. "We wanted to applaud this standard of excellence and are very proud to offer the Holtkamp HVAC scholarship each semester."
