Busbee Center: High-tech training campus
A growing number of students at Gwinnett Tech spend only a few days or even hours on campus to meet their educational goals.
These “students” are involved in a wide variety of business training at the George Busbee International Center for Workforce Development on GTC’s campus, and are among the thousands who attend company training developed and delivered by Gwinnett Tech for their employers.
The Busbee Center is a high-tech, high-use facility meeting the training and workforce development needs of area business and manufacturing companies. Last year, Gwinnett Tech delivered training to 500 companies.
The Busbee’s Advanced Technology Center includes 12 computer labs, almost 500 computers, meeting and conference rooms, and a full-service banquet facility. The Scientific-Atlanta Auditorium at the center features the latest in AV projection capabilities and provides ergonomic seats for 350, all wired for the Internet and a wireless interactive system that allows for the tabulation and display of audience responses. The Busbee Center is also a wireless facility for additional Internet access.
In additional to business training, the Busbee Center is an extensively used meeting and special events center, hosting annual meetings, banquets, sales events, seminars, exhibitions and regular gatherings like the Gwinnett Chamber’s monthly Technology Forums.
