Gwinnett Technical College Has Upsurge in Two-Year Program Enrollment
Early indications reveal that Gwinnett Technical College’s fall enrollment in two-year programs will exceed last year’s fall figures by more than 10 percent.
The increase is particularly significant this fall as Gwinnett Tech observes its 20-year anniversary as one of the county’s leading two-year colleges.
“While the enrollment numbers have grown considerably, the growth is not entirely a big surprise,” said Gwinnett Tech President Sharon Rigsby. “Gwinnett Tech’s trademark workforce development has provided the community a fast track for getting people into college and out to jobs throughout its two-decade existence. Therefore, we expect more and more people to turn to Gwinnett Tech as their choice for furthering their education.”
And fall quarter applications show that more people are turning to Gwinnett Tech. “Applications have increased tremendously over last fall,” says Dave McCulloch, vice president of student services, Gwinnett Tech. “There has also already been a huge increase in the number of admitted students over last year at this point.”
Fall quarter early registration runs through September 9. Late registration will be held September 28 with applications being accepted through September 21. Fall classes begin September 29.
