Gwinnett Tech to Host Microsoft Technology EventGTC is a Stop on the 'Get on the Bus' Tour Microsoft's "Get on the Bus" Tour will stop at Gwinnett Technical College on Sat., May 2, from 9 a.m. until noon. The event will be held in Building 100, Rooms 401 and 707. The Gwinnett Tech Computer Information Systems Advisory Board and the Georgia Gwinnett Microsoft Users Group are partnering to host the free event, which is open to the local IT community, and Gwinnett Tech faculty, staff and students. Interested faculty and students from other area colleges are also invited. Gwinnett Tech, a Microsoft Academy, is the second stop on the bus's tour from Atlanta to the upcoming Tech-Ed Convention in Los Angeles. While on campus, the Microsoft Learning Career Express pros will share the latest learning tools and products with faculty, staff, students and Microsoft partners. "Get on the Bus" is an 11-day trip across the U.S. The Career Express will visit Microsoft Learning partners and IT academies, like Gwinnett Tech, and meet with individuals, organizations, Microsoft Press authors, and user group leaders, as well as host Microsoft Professional (MCP) and Microsoft Certified (MCT) meet-ups on the way. Gwinnett Tech offers associate degree programs in computer programming, information security, networking, Web site design, and computer simulation/game development, plus a host of diploma and certificate programs in the field.
