The Gwinnett Technical College nursing program will host a site review in March for the initial accreditation of its associate degree nursing program.
Interested parties are invited to meet the team from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and share comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at 3:00 p.m., in Room 104, Building 200.
Written comments are also welcome and should be submitted directly to:
Dr. Sharon Tanner, Chief Executive Officer
National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc.

Atlanta, Georgia 30326
All written comments should arrive at NLNAC by February 23, 2011.
In July 2008, Gwinnett Tech announced receiving developmental approval from the Georgia Board of Nursing to offer the associate degree nursing program, with initial approval granted in March 2009. The college's first class of registered nursing students started classes in September 2009.
The site visit by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission is another step toward earning accreditation from the commission for the GTC program. GTC's associate degree nursing program earned candidacy status in August 2010.
While specific academic programs at the college often earn specialized industry accreditation, Gwinnett Tech is also accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
GTC offers more than 45 degree, diploma and certificate program options that you can finish in two years or less. For more information on all programs, visit www.GwinnettTech.edu or call 770-962-7580.
