Gwinnett Tech Hosts Judging for International Professional Photography CompetitionContest will draw 50 professional photographers to campus to judge more than 5,000 entries, June 11 – 17 WHAT: Gwinnett Tech is hosting the judging for the Professional Photographer's of America 2011 International Print Competition from June 11 through June 17, drawing more than 50 professional photographers to campus to view and critique more than 5,000 entries. The submissions will be on display at Gwinnett Tech throughout the judging process, which is open to the media and public on June 14 and 15. Gwinnett Tech's Commercial Photography students will be providing assistance during the judging process, adding to their professional and educational experience. The PPA is an international, non-profit association for professional photographers, based in Atlanta, which exists to assist its 22,000 members in achieving their professional, artistic and fraternal goals; to promote public awareness of the profession; and to advance the making of images in all of its disciplines as an art, a science and a visual recorder of history.
