Servicemembers Opportunity College

Gwinnett Tech is proud to serve the servicemen and servicewomen of the United States military as a Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC). The consortium consists of more than 1750 colleges and universities in the U.S. that are dedicated to providing educational opportunities for servicemembers and their families. The SOC coordinates associate and bachelor's degree programs offered by colleges and universities in a variety of curriculum areas for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

Within each curriculum or degree, member colleges, including Gwinnett Tech, agree to accept each other's credits in transfer as well as provide leniency in residency requirements, and award academic credit for military training and experience and extra institutional learning when applicable. The SOC serves hundreds of thousands of servicemembers and their families worldwide.

The SOC is sponsored by the American Association of State Colleges (AASCU) and Universities and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), in cooperation with 13 other educational associations, the National Guard, the Coast Guard and the Military Services. For more information on the SOC and a full list of consortium schools, visit www.soc.aascu.org.
