Gwinnett Technical College’s institutional effectiveness process is a cyclical, ongoing process that manifests throughout the campus via multiple processes. The office of institutional research and effectiveness defines “effectiveness” as “operating adequately to accomplish the division/unit’s purpose and producing at or above its intended, expected result.” The processes (which include Strategic Planning, Program Review, and use of data for informed decision making) are designed to help Gwinnett Tech determine the extent to which it realizes its mission to “teach every individual; serve every business.” Using the Gwinnett Tech mission statement as a guide, the campus faculty, staff, and administrators participate in activities at the unit, department and campus levels that engage multiple constituents, employ the aforementioned processes, and focus on continuous improvement.
