Amazon Career Choice

Gwinnett Technical College is a proud educational partner of Amazon Career Choice

Amazon’s Career Choice program is an education benefit that empowers Amazon employees to learn new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere. Eligible Amazon employees can receive pre-paid college tuition through the Amazon Career Choice Program.

This program provides a variety of education and upskilling opportunities, including pre-paid college tuition, industry certifications designed to lead to in-demand jobs, and foundational skills such as English language, high school diplomas, and GEDs after working for the company for 90 days.

You must be accepted to Gwinnett Technical College before your payment request can be processed.  

When will my payment request be processed? 

The Bursar team will place you on contract to hold your classes through the payment deadlines. We process third party payments after student schedules are finalized and all state and federal aid have been disbursed. Your payment request will look like it is in-progress until after our student accounts team has processed the invoice.  

If you have a mini-mester C course, your payment will NOT be processed until after all course schedules are finalized for mini-mester C.  

What happens if I withdraw from my courses? 

Amazon will pay for your classes as long as there is an active request in the system and you attempted, but did not complete the course. If you cancel your request in your Amazon portal, you will be responsible for any tuition and fees related to your courses. 

What happens if I cancel my request? 

You will be responsible for any tuition and fees incurred as a part of your enrollment including tuition and fees. Please notify  thirdpartybilling@gwinnetttech.edu that you have canceled your request.  

When will I get a refund? 

All refunds are processed on a published schedule found on the Bursar’s website

Can I use other kinds of state or federal student aid? 

If you are eligible for federal or state aid, you can use that and your Amazon career choice benefit. 

What classes can I take? 

Amazon will pay for one attempt of any course on your approved program of study.  

Getting Started

  1. Apply to Gwinnett Technical College
  2. Request Payment from Amazon Career Choice
    • Visit A to Z and submit a payment request for your chosen school and program.
    • The request will be sent to the school to confirm course level details, and either approve or deny the request.
    • If approved, Amazon pays the school directly!
