What can I expect from this program?
Gwinnett Tech’s Endoscope Reprocessing Program equips students with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to ensure patient safety and prevent procedural infections. The curriculum includes: •
- Core and technical coursework
- Hands-on training in advanced labs
- Clinical rotations in local hospitals
Students learn to disassemble, decontaminate, disinfect/sterilize, inspect, and reassemble endoscopic instruments to ensure proper function and patient safety.

The Gwinnett Tech Endoscope Reprocessing Program prepares you for the certification exam. Passing the certification exam earns you either the title of Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) or Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER).
Gwinnett Tech’s Endoscope Reprocessing Program currently offers one Hope Career Grant. HOPE Career Grants provide free tuition assistance toward educational costs for eligible students enrolled in an approved designated program of study. Students must be eligible for and receiving, the HOPE Grant or Zell Miller Grant to be awarded the HOPE Career Grant. It provides assistance with educational costs that are not covered by the HOPE or Zell Miller Grants.
How much will it cost?
