Before You RSVP
To participate in the Graduation Ceremony, you must first submit a Graduation Application. Submitting a Graduation Application does not automatically register you for the Graduation Ceremony.
Step 1 – RSVP
Eligible students will receive an RSVP invitation to their student e-mail via Tassel beginning March 2, 2026. Students must respond YES or NO through Tassel.
RSVP DEADLINE: APRIL 17, 2026
Students must RSVP through Tassel by April 17, 2026.
Graduates who RSVP by the deadline will receive full ceremony production benefits, including:
✔ Automated Name Announcement
You will record and approve the pronunciation of your name during registration to ensure an accurate announcement as you cross the stage.
✔ Custom Name Display Banner
Your approved preferred name and credential will appear on-screen in a college branded ceremony graphic.
The Tassel RSVP system will automatically close on April 17 and cannot be reopened by the college. After the deadline, changes or edits to RSVP responses, name pronunciation recordings, or display information cannot be made.
Late Participation Policy
Students who miss the deadline must submit an appeal through the college’s Report a Concern (Student Complaint Form) to request late participation consideration. Students approved for late participation:
- Will be announced manually
- Will not receive automated name pronunciation
- Will not appear in the on-screen name display system
- Will be placed at the end of the graduate lineup
Late participation is not guaranteed and is approved on a case-by-case basis.
Step 2 – Purchase Regalia
All graduates participating in the ceremony must wear approved Gwinnett Tech regalia.
Required for Participation in the Ceremony
- Graduation Set (Cap, Gown, & Tassel): $46.75
Optional Items
- Gwinnett Tech Stole: $58.00 Optional commemorative stole featuring the Gwinnett Tech logo.
- Tassel Only: $11.98 Available for purchase if replacement is needed.
Honor Graduate Recognition
- Students who achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.69 or higher are designated as Honor Graduates. Spring semester graduate honor eligibility is determined based on cumulative GPA as of the Fall semester.
- Honor eligibility is verified by the college and provided directly to the bookstore for purchase authorization.
- Eligible students may purchase and wear the Honor Graduate Stole – $25.00.

Step 3 – Graduation Packet and Ticket Distribution
Graduation & Transfer Fair
Tuesday, March 17 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. | LAW, Building A, Room 112
College recruiters onsite: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Speak with admissions representatives from many four-year colleges and universities – all of which have transfer agreements with Gwinnett Tech and/or the Technical College System of Georgia.
Ticket Information
Only graduates who RSVP “YES” through Tassel will receive eight (8) guest tickets.
Tickets are required for entry into the Graduation Ceremony. Children over the age of 24 months require a ticket.
Many graduates choose to present tickets to their guests as formal invitations to celebrate their academic achievement. Tickets are for admission only. Please keep tickets secure, as lost tickets cannot be replaced. Graduates do not need a ticket for themselves.
Graduation Packet Includes
- Eight (8) guest tickets
- Parking pass for graduates
- Additional instructions
Packets are distributed only on scheduled pickup dates and are not available for daily office pickup. Photo ID is required.
Primary Pickup – March 17
This is the first and primary opportunity to pick up your graduation packet at the Graduation & Transfer Fair.
Additional Pickup – April 28
For graduates who:
- RSVP’d but did not attend the March 17 fair, OR
- Submitted their RSVP after the fair
Extra Tickets – May 5
After all graduates have received their initial eight (8) tickets, additional tickets may be requested if available. Distribution is based on remaining capacity.
Unable to Attend?
If you cannot attend a scheduled pickup date, you may designate a friend, family member, or instructor to pick up your packet by completing the Packet Authorization Form in advance.
Step 4 – Ceremony Day Instructions – Graduates
What to Wear
You are required to wear your cap, gown, and tassel to participate in the ceremony.
Appropriate attire beneath regalia includes dark, comfortable shoes with a low heel and dark pants or a dark dress. White and light-colored tops are appropriate, as your cap and gown will cover them. Those students wearing a dress shirt are encouraged to wear a tie.

Graduates must park in the designated graduate parking area. Do not park in guest lots.

Graduate Check-In & Line-Up
Graduates must arrive by 8:00 a.m., fully dressed in approved regalia. No purses, backpacks, or personal items are permitted.
Graduates will enter through the designated graduate entrance at the rear of Gas South Arena (loading dock area – see map).
Upon entering:
- Locate the check-in area by the first letter of your last name
- Check in to receive your official name card
- Proceed immediately to the designated staging area
Graduates must remain in the staging area until instructed to line up.
Crossing the Stage
- When instructed by college marshals, your row will stand and proceed to the lineup area.
- Walk to the announcement station and hand your name card to the announcer.
- When your name is called:
- Walk across the stage.
- Pause to receive your diploma cover.
- Continue across the stage to be congratulated by the President.
- A professional photo will be taken at this time to capture your moment on stage.
- Return to your seat as directed by the marshals.
Graduate Photography
GradImages will photograph all graduates at the graduation ceremony. You may visit the company’s website and click on the Pre-Event E-mail Registration to register your e-mail address. After graduation, you may order photos online at www.GradImages.com or by calling 1-800-261-2576.

After the Ceremony
Guests will meet graduates outside the arena entrance following the ceremony. Guests are not permitted on the arena floor.
Livestreaming
The ceremony will be livestreamed on Gwinnett Tech’s YouTube channel. Streaming begins promptly at 10:00 a.m.
