With the Gwinnett Tech Computer Programming education, you will learn to write and test code for computer applications and discover how to turn the program designs created by software developers and engineers into instructions that a computer can follow.

Gwinnett Tech’s Computer Programming program is offered during the fall, spring, and summer semesters at our Lawrenceville and Alpharetta-North Fulton campuses. The program is full-time and classes are scheduled for day, evening, or online access. Students may begin the program during the fall, spring, or summer semesters.

Computer programming is a process that leads from a problem specification to executable computer programs, also known as software. Programming involves activities such as analysis, developing understanding, generating algorithms, verification of requirements of algorithms including their accuracy, resource consumption, and the coding/implementation of the algorithms using a programming language such as Java, C++, C#, .NET, or many others.

Computer programmers write and test code that allows computer applications and software programs to function properly. They turn the program designs created by software developers and engineers into instructions that a computer can follow. With Gwinnett Tech’s Computer Programming degree, diploma or certificate, students learn the skills needed to successfully join this growing industry.

Can I work while I learn?

Class schedules are designed to encourage student employment in the HVAC industry while taking classes.
