ATI TEAS Exam

GTC students are required to take the ATI TEAS exam IN-PERSON – remote testing is not accepted.

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI TEAS) is a multiple-choice assessment that measures academic readiness in: Reading, Mathematics, Science and English and Language Usage. Candidates Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Echocardiography Technology, Radiologic Technology, Medical Assisting and Veterinary Technology are required to take the TEAS test on campus, remote TEAS tests are not accepted.

Testing Details:

  • Gwinnett Technical College requires all students to test on campus. Remote testing is not accepted.
  • Students may take the ATI TEAS up to two (2) times per application cycle at Gwinnett Technical College.
  • ATI TEAS scores are valid for three (3) years from the program application deadline
  • No waiting period is required between attempts.
  • The highest score from the current application cycle will be used.
  • Students must complete testing by May 29.
  • The exam lasts approximately 3.5 hours and covers:
    • Reading (55 min) – Key Ideas & Details, Craft & Structure, Integration of Knowledge
    • Math (57 min) – Numbers & Algebra, Measurements & Data
    • Science (60 min) – Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Scientific Reasoning
    • English (37 min) – Grammar, Language, Vocabulary

Registration:

  • The ATI TEAS Allied Health Exam is offered on campus at the Gwinnett Technical College Assessment Center.
  • Students must register at https://www.atitesting.com.
  • Create an ATI account and select Gwinnett Technical College AH (Allied Health) as your institution.
  • Exam fees are paid directly to ATI at the time of scheduling. No refunds are available.

Testing at Another Institution:

  • Students who test at another institution must have an official score report sent directly from ATI to the Gwinnett Technical College Assessment Center.
  • A copy of the ATI TEAS score report must be attached to the student’s competitive health application.
  • Both TEAS for Allied Health and TEAS for Nursing scores are accepted.
