Dr. D. Glen Cannon, President of Gwinnett Tech, attributes this surge in enrollment to a few key factors:

  • A dramatic increase in students transferring to Gwinnett Tech from traditional four-year colleges as students seek to ensure they get the direct, hands-on skill sets needed in this global work environment while ensuring their tuition and educational expenses are as minimal as possible. Students are choosing the fastest, least costly, but highly qualified programs for a meaningful, financially rewarding career.
  • The College’s commitment to offering affordable, flexible, and experiential learning environments that meet the real-time needs of the community.
  • Gwinnett Tech’s impressive job placement rates, with over 99% of graduates securing employment upon graduation.

Dr. Cannon states, “Our community increasingly seeks the affordable, flexible, and experiential learning environment that Gwinnett Tech offers. We are committed to responding to and delivering educational programs that meet the real-time needs of our community. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to providing a career-focused education for real-world jobs.”

The College offers over 160 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs. Gwinnett Tech’s programs continue to grow and expand to meet the ever-changing demands of the job market. Recently, the College launched a new automotive program with Mazda North American Operations and will offer the ADN-RN registered nursing program for the Alpharetta-North Fulton campus. This program will accompany the twenty-nine healthcare career options offered on the Lawrenceville main campus.
