Gwinnett Technical College Welcomes Dr. Cayanna Good for Spring 2025 Graduation Ceremony

LAWRENCEVILLE—Gwinnett Technical College proudly announces Dr. Cayanna Good as the Spring 2025 Commencement Speaker. Dr. Good is the Assistant Commissioner for Adult Education with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), where she leads the Office of Adult Education (OAE). In her role, Dr. Good oversees federal Adult Education grants, provides educational opportunities to approximately 50,000 adult learners across Georgia, and supports local adult literacy initiatives. The OAE is also responsible for administering Georgia’s GED and HiSET testing programs and awarding the state’s High School Equivalency (HSE) credential.

Dr. Glen Cannon, President of Gwinnett Technical College, expressed his enthusiasm for Dr. Good’s participation: “We are honored to have Dr. Cayanna Good as our Spring 2025 Commencement Speaker. Her dedication to adult education and impactful leadership within the community embodies the values we strive to instill in our students. Dr. Good’s insights and experiences will undoubtedly inspire our graduates as they embark on their journeys of lifelong learning and service.”

Before joining TCSG, Dr. Good served as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, playing a key role in advancing educational excellence and accountability across Georgia. Her commitment to educational leadership and community service is further demonstrated through her roles as Vice Chair of the Georgia Charter Schools Commission and as a member of the Alton Crews Middle School Local School Council.

Dr. Good holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Fisk University, a master’s degree in Education from Georgia State University, and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Mercer University. She resides in Gwinnett County with her two children, Julianna and A.J.

The commencement ceremony will occur on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Gas South Arena.
