About
A diploma or certificate from Gwinnett Tech prepares you to enter the growing field of healthcare. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts an 6% job growth for dental assistants from 2024 – 2034. Students gain hands on training including: instruction in dental assisting with chair-side and laboratory procedures, adjunctive patient care, dental office management, infection control and patient education.
This program is offered at Gwinnett Tech’s Lawrenceville campus.
This program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and the American Dental Association (ADA)

Students gain hands-on training including instruction in dental assisting with chair-side and laboratory procedures, adjunctive patient care, dental office management, infection control and patient education.

This program gives students the confidence and skills needed to begin their career in this exciting field. Graduates of the program receive the Basic Dental Assisting, Georgia Radiation Safety, Expanded Duties Advanced Dental Assisting, and Coronal Polishing certifications and are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board exam.
How much will it cost?
