Learn to plan and carry out security measures to protect an organization’s computer networks and systems and begin an exciting career in the expanding world of cybersecurity with the Gwinnett Tech Cybersecurity program!
Students in the Cybersecurity program will prepare for a cybersecurity career with the responsibility to protect their employer’s information assets. Cyber Technicians perform different functions, including detecting and preventing cyber-attacks, monitoring network activity to prevent internal attacks, encryption techniques, disaster and incident recovery, auditing, and system testing.
Gwinnett Tech’s Cybersecurity program is offered during the fall, spring, and summer semesters at our Lawrenceville and Alpharetta-North Fulton campuses. Program classes are scheduled for day or evening, and students may begin the program during the fall, spring, or summer semesters.

What can I expect from this program?
You will learn the principles, tools and techniques required to keep computers and employers secure from disastrous hackers and attacks. With a degree, diploma, or certificate from Gwinnett Tech, students learn to prevent internal attacks, apply encryption techniques, plan for disaster and incident recovery, and implement system testing.
Can I work while I learn?
Class schedules are designed to encourage student employment in the computer science industry while taking classes.
How much will it cost?
Gwinnett Tech offers affordability at $107 per credit hour + fees. Great opportunities for scholarships and financial aid with HOPE Grant, HOPE scholarship, HOPE Career Grants, and more!
