What can I expect from the Radiologic Technology program?
This program trains you on x-ray equipment, accurate patient positioning, patient care, and knowledge of producing quality imaging in labs and the classroom. Graduates of our program are prepared for employment in a variety of clinical settings that include hospitals, outpatient care centers and physician offices.
Students are educated in anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation protection and basic patient care. They work closely with radiologists, the physicians who interpret medical images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury. For the images to be interpreted correctly by the radiologist, the imaging examination must be performed properly by a radiologic technologist.
How much will it cost?
Gwinnett Tech offers affordability at $107 per credit hour + fees. Great opportunities for scholarships and financial aid with HOPE Grant, HOPE scholarship, HOPE Career Grants and more!
