Disabled Veterans Support Scholarship (DVSS)
The Disabled Veterans Support Scholarship (DVSS) provides financial assistance to eligible disabled veterans enrolled in Georgia’s technical colleges. Funded through voluntary state income tax return donations, DVSS helps cover tuition, required supplies, transportation, and other educational expenses, reducing financial barriers and supporting veterans as they pursue training and career advancement.
The Disabled Veterans Support Scholarship was created to support U.S. military veterans with service-connected disabilities as they pursue technical education in Georgia. Administered by the Technical College System of Georgia Foundation, DVSS helps veterans focus on completing their programs and preparing for high-demand careers by addressing the full cost of attendance, not just tuition.
Scholarship funding is made possible through voluntary contributions on Georgia income tax returns, reflecting the state’s ongoing commitment to those who have served.
Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants must:
- Be a U.S. military veteran (not a dependent)
- Be enrolled in a credit-bearing Technical Certificate, Diploma, or Degree program
- Attend full-time or part-time
- Provide valid VA documentation showing a service-connected disability rating
Please contact VA@GwinnettTech.edu and put DVSS in the subject line.
