Gwinnett Tech Students Earn 41 Medals at State SkillsUSA CompetitionGWINNETT – Gwinnett Technical College students had an exceptional showing at SkillsUSA, Georgia’s Post Secondary State Leadership & Skills Conference hosted March 21-23, 2019 at the Georgia International Convention Center. Of the 67 Gwinnett Tech students who competed, 41 competition medals were earned; 23 gold, 13 silver and five bronze.

SkillsUSA contests begin locally and continue through state and national levels. State Gold Medalists now have the opportunity to compete in the SkillsUSA 55th annual National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, KY June 24-28, 2019. The National SkillsUSA Championships showcase the skills of post-secondary students through hands-on competitions in leadership, health occupations, trades/industry and technical contests. More than 16,000 students, teachers and business partners participated in the weeklong national competition.
