LAWRENCEVILLE – On Saturday, October 28, Gwinnett Technical College and 100 Black Men of North Metro Atlanta hosted their Men of Tomorrow mentees and families for the S3: Super Saturday Seminar. This opportunity provided an exciting day of empowerment workshops and speakers.
“Gwinnett Technical College is pleased to partner with 100 Black Men of North Metro Atlanta for their annual seminar. Gwinnett Tech is fortunate to have community partners such as 100 Black Men of North Metro Atlanta to partner with to provide powerful and strong support to families navigating different education pathways,” stated Dr. Cannon, president of Gwinnett Technical College.
Workshops included topics on Education: Accelerated Options for School and The Scholarship Academy, Economic Empowerment, AI: What’s the Big Fuss?, and career panels. Empowerment workshops were provided for parents and caregivers as well as mentees.
“100 Black Men of North Metro Atlanta is proud to partner with Gwinnett Technical College for our 9th Annual S3: Super Saturday Seminar. With almost 200 attendees, this was our largest S3 ever, uniting families and community partners for a day of empowerment from college options to career exploration. We are focused on connecting our young men to the most successful future possible,” Wayne Ellison, President.
