LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
Gwinnett Tech’s mission guides the college in its efforts to prepare adults for the workforce. Many of the college’s program accrediting bodies require students to successfully pass discipline-specific certification exams (designed to test a student’s knowledge of the field) as a condition of accreditation. Certification/Licensure exam rates indicate the percentage of students who passed the exam. Gwinnett Tech’s high licensure rates are a reflection of the College’s impact on students, which – in turn – enables them to excel in their careers.
Additionally, students graduating with Barbering, Cosmetology, EMT and Paramedicine, Nursing, and Respiratory Therapy programs must be licensed by the Georgia State Board and pass discipline-specific certification exams in order to gain licensure.
