The Gwinnett Tech Financial Aid Office will send you emails advising you of any items missing to complete your Financial Aid File to the email address listed on your FAFSA. Complete your file by the deadlines listed below to ensure your financial aid is ready for the upcoming semester. If you miss a date, still finish your file ASAP; but know we cannot guarantee your aid will be in place by the payment deadlines. Once your file is complete and aid is awarded, you will be sent an email to your student email that you have been awarded.

Work Study Program
The Work Study program provides part-time jobs with flexible hours revolving around your class schedule. Students are limited to working 20 hours per week – leaving ample time for your studies.
You may receive Federal Work Study (FWS) up to $4,500 per academic year if you demonstrate financial need. FWS Awards are paid as monthly paychecks, and this award does not have to be repaid.
The funds for FWS are very limited, so we encourage you to complete your FAFSA early! Make sure to indicate you are interested in Federal Work Study when asked on the FAFSA.
For more information about FWS, visit the Federal Student Aid website.
Scholarships are awarded to students meeting the specific requirements of each scholarship found. Scholarships do not need to be repaid, and eligibility may or may not be dependent on financial need.
Gwinnett Tech offers scholarships through three sources: the Gwinnett Tech Foundation, various business- and civic-sponsored scholarships, and the Georgia HOPE scholarship.
Contact the financial aid office for details about our business- and civic-sponsored scholarships and for information about the Georgia HOPE scholarship and grant.
