Gwinnett Technical College Recognized with Four Best of Gwinnett Awards

Gwinnett – The votes have been counted and the results are in! Gwinnett Technical College has been named Best of Gwinnett 2017 in four categories: Best Higher Education, Best Child Care Center, Best Continuing Education Programs and Best Meeting and Event Facility.

“We are thrilled and grateful our community members took the time to cast a vote for Gwinnett Tech and name us as Best of Gwinnett in Higher Education, Continuing Education, Child Care Center and Meeting and Event Facility categories.     • Gwinnett Tech’s department of Continuing Education offers hundreds of seminars, workshops and short courses designed to boost your career, enhance your skills or enrich your life. Led by instructors with both academic credentials and extensive field experience in your industry, these courses meet the hottest workplace demands for updating job skills. Courses may be taught at a Gwinnett Tech campus or at a community location, with a wide range of online options as well.
    • The D. Scott Hudgens, Jr. Early Education Center on the campus of Gwinnett Technical College, offers the community innovative early care and learning. The Center has been recognized by Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education for modeling best practices in early education. The 26,000-square-foot, two-story facility is nestled on the back border of the Gwinnett Tech campus with space for more than 200 children. The Center serves community children ages six weeks to eight years, offering full-time infant and toddler programs, preschool, Georgia Pre-K classes, summer camp and Pre-K extended learning. The Center recently earned a 3-star quality rating from Bright from the Start. “This 3-star rating is earned by only 10% of the early childhood centers in Georgia,” according to Becky Olson director of the D. Scott Hudgens, Jr. Early Education Center.
